Before and After

Fall...

Walking through the mud on a rainy day in the woods by my house, I came across these images...

The last of my neighbors flowers as summer ends and fall begins...

Model Material

My 3 year old daughter.

Butterfly, Butterfly, fly, fly away

Interesting

What is it? A weed or a flower? You decide...

Hockey

I grew up loving hockey, I married a man who loves hockey, so why am I so surprised that my son loves hockey?

Tomorrow we are off to yet another tournament. First game starts at 6:15am. I couldn't skate that early.

After the Rain

It rained today, and stormed. I was stuck inside without a camera. But, when the drops stopped falling and the sun tried to peek out, I grabbed said camera and went right to the wet flowers. This time the neighbor didn't come out to find out what I found so fascinating with her flowers. If you need to ask, why even bother planting anything. Stay in your hermedically sealed house. One should not ask why do you like flowers? Look at these photos and see why I love them and love capturing their beauty. The rain drops add a sort of depth or texture. It sort of sums up the cycle of nature. In my mind anyway.

Favorite Places

Is there a place that you love to be? A place that cleanses your soul and refreshes your mind? Where that place is for me is the beach. Just about any shoreline makes me happy. And genetics are an amazing thing. My son has inherited my love of the sand and surf. Two weeks from now we will be on our way to one of those beaches. He just told me he is dreaming of going already.

I look forward to the sound of the gulls, the smell of the surf and of course a little sand in places where it really doesn't belong.

Who Am I?

Who am I? I am a mother and a wife. I work two jobs, one of which I actually like. Too keep myself sane, I pick up my camera and pretty much shoot whatever crosses my path. In the spring, the new green of the grass and the new leaves are all so tempting. But, the little yellow flowers that most call weeds are so captivating to me. Why do we try to get rid of something so pretty?

Well, now that I am off my original idea, it's time to move on.

I am not good at expressing myself in words, but on film, that's a different story.
